Dr. Vishal Advani, DDS
Founder, Implant Surgeon & Smile Architect
Dr. Vishal Advani opened Elk Grove Smile Center in 2012 with a clear mission: to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that puts people at ease. His education began with a dual-degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Hartford (graduating with highest honors), and continued at the prestigious Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City, where he trained alongside world-renowned faculty.
From advanced bone grafting and wisdom tooth removal to full-mouth dental implants and All-on-4 solutions, Dr. Advani is known for his surgical skill, attention to detail, and calm, reassuring chairside manner. In fact, he’s trusted to perform complex oral surgeries at three other dental practices in the area.
Beyond the clinic, you’ll find him staying active, traveling, and enjoying life with his wife (and fellow dentist!) Dr. Shivani Desai Advani, and their two little ones—Nysara and Kaveer.

Dr. Prutha Desai, DMD
Gentle, Attentive, and Family-Focused
Dr. Prutha Desai is passionate about creating genuine connections with her patients—many of whom she’s seen grow up right here in the practice. A proud Chicago native, she studied Psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before earning her DMD from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2016.
From pediatric dentistry to cosmetic treatments like veneers and crowns, Dr. Desai is known for her gentle hands and calming energy—making her a favorite among families. She’s also Invisalign certified and fluent in English, Gujarati, Hindi, and Spanish, making it easy for patients of all backgrounds to feel heard and cared for.
Outside the office, she loves spending time with her husband and two boys, rock climbing, reading, and planning her next hiking adventure.

Dr. Shivani Desai Advani (or just “Dr. Desai” to many of her patients) brings a perfect blend of precision and personality to the practice. A Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine graduate, she provides comprehensive dental care with a special passion for cosmetics and restorative work.
Whether she’s crafting a custom crown or perfecting a tooth-colored filling, Dr. Desai approaches every smile with care, creativity, and a gentle touch. She especially enjoys helping patients feel more confident through natural-looking, functional dental restorations.
At home, she and Dr. Advani are busy raising two beautiful children together. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, designing, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
